ATTORNEY INFO

All legal mail should continue to be sent to the facility directly. Items sent to inmates must have the name and jail identification number written or printed on it. Letters are the only acceptable item for inmates to receive. The facility's mailing address is the Clark County Jail, 501 E Court Ave., Jeffersonville, IN 47130.   

Legal correspondence marked "attorney-client mail" is considered privileged and will be opened in the presence of the inmate and inspected (not read). If found to be legitimate legal correspondence, it will be photocopied and provided to the inmate, at which time the original will be destroyed in the presence of the inmate.
